I am finally getting around to update my site for the 09 season. I have been super busy at work and findind enough time to go racing. I had missed a few races late last year so my sprint car was ready to go with very little work.
It is nice to have the car show in February, the car gets ready sooner
My home track RMRP is also called “The Rock” now. They have changed the track layout this year it’s more of a D shape with the straight away by the grand stand and a larger circle from 2 to 3, much faster for a better show.
I had a tough time with chassis handling at the beginning of the season and the driver…
Things came together at BCR, while leading the feature I had some engine problems so I didn’t finish the race. Then a few weeks later I wrecked my car, that ment dusting off the old Tog. Which I don’t mind, it drives like a Cadillac and I have had some good finishes with it.

Another race season over, I had to park the car at the end of august for surgery. We ended missing the last three races at RMRP and managed a third place in yearly points standings. I am very happy with the results. Now the driver and car better be ready for the 2009 season.
I would like to thank my crew for their help over the season, my sponsors for their continued support and my friends and fans for cheering for Sprint #8.
This is my second season with the Bert Sprint Transmission and it has been flawless. Even when we changed chassis it was super easy to move everything over. This winter it will be even easier to turn the engine over by just touching the starter button.
This newer car is taking some time to figure out. Another set back was rolling it and not being able to repair it for the next day. Finally now I think I have a handle on it.
Missing the last races gave me the change to work in the pits with tech and corner guys Dale, Stephen and Steve. These guys go flat out all evening to keep the show going. Thanks to thems and all the volunteers for their dedication to the sport.

We had a great turn out for the 2 day show at RMRP. 17 cars on saturday and 16 on sunday. It will take a few weekend of racing to figure out this chassis set up. I went from too loose to very tight in my changes but at least the car reacts to changes. Our next race is June 6 at RMRP. I hope to have the chassis dialed in this time.

A newer chassis is being prepared for this coming season. This 2006 Eagle will be tested at our first race May 9 at RMRP. Everything else is being transferred from the old chassis to the new one. The engine has been freshened and it sure sounded great on the dyno.
With the new season just around the corner. We are pleased to annonce Tim’s Reusable as a new sponsor, for all your new and used renovation Products Tim has it all for you.

Now the season is over we’ll have extra time to finish our web site.
All our races were at Rocky Mountain Raceway (Calgary) and Bridge County Raceway (Lethbridge). We tried to go to Edmonton for an X-treme race but half way it got rained out.
Our first race at BCR was a DNF with fuel problems and the second DNF (and last) was also at BCR during the Extreme feature race with a 12 car pile up (go to Photo gallery for details)
The car ran very well all season, I learned a lot about chassis set-up mainly when I had some great ideas and just about got lapped at BCR. Now I know what not to do…

2007 BCR Hard Charger
I would like to thank my sponsors and crew for making 2007 a good one.
The installation of a Bert Sprint Transmission was the best thing we have done all year. Now the car is self starting which makes it easy maintenance to set the valve lash, ignition timing and checking for leaks. When I get to the tracks I could warm-up my engine when ever needed without leaving the pits. This unit has been 100% reliable all year. You run a sprint and you want to make your life easier, just install a Bert Sprint transmission today. I happen to be a Bert distributor, give me a call at 403 540-2134 for more details. Go to the Photo Gallery for pictures.
2007 is also our first year for us to promote Big Brothers and Big Sisters. 387 race day passes were given to the kids at RMRP. Life is good when you have a change to watch live racing on friday nights. Rocky Mountain Raceway handed a $3740.25 cheque to BBBS from their weekly 50/50 draw. The BCR track also worked with us to bring kids to the races. This venture has been our highlight of the season. I would like to thank Sharon and Brian form RMRP, Kathy and Jim from BCR for helping me share something special for the kids.
